Happy Birthday Ashlyn!!!

We also celebrated Ashlyn's 3rd birthday while camping. Her birthday is May 25th, which happened to fall on Memorial Day this year. She was more than happy to get to spend her birthday camping. (Although I'm sure things will change when she gets a bit older.) We had her party on the Saturday before her birthday. She had a great time and was very excited to have a Little Mermaid cake!
Here she is blowing out her candles. (Or should I say matches. I was so busy getting ready for our camping trip that I forgot to pack candles, so we had to use matches. Oh well, she didn't seem to care!)

Posing with her princesses. She loves these. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Posing with her Dora game. Also from the grandparents.

She got this purple light saber from Blake. Believe it or not she was really excited for this. And Blake actually kept it a secret from her. (although he did keep telling her that he knew what one of her presents were.)
Ashlyn also got a pink scooter, a dry erase marker board/chalk board, a big barbie head that she can brush the hair on (she is always wanting to brush people's hair), some clothes, and a Barbie that has a dog with it. And come to find out, the dog has food that it can eat, and then it actually poops the food out!! GROSS! I had know idea that it did this. What kind of person thinks up toys like this? A dog that poops! It comes with a pooper scooper and a trash can to put the poop in. I think its pretty weird but Ashlyn thinks its the greatest thing ever. Oh well.
We woke up early the morning of Ashlyn's actual birthday to hear her crying. We brought her in bed with us and she ended up throwing up twice that morning. While she was throwing up she kept saying, "No thankyou, No thankyou." I'm not sure if she was saying no thankyou to Terry who was holding up the bowl of throwup to her to puke in, or if she was telling the throwup no thankyou cause she didn't want to throw up anymore. I am really not sure. Anyway, after she threw up the second time, I told her she can't be sick today cause it is her birthday. So she perked right up and finished the day having fun. But that night at midnight (which officially ended her birthday), she threw up again all over her bed. So I guess when I told her she couldn't be sick on her birthday she took me seriously and waited until it was no longer her birthday to finish being sick. Funny little girl!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a really fun Memorial Day weekend this year. We took our new camping trailer up to Island Park and met Terry's parents up at a campsite where they were staying in their 5th wheel. We didn't get to claim our regular camping spot but still had a great time. The boys woke up early Saturday morning and took a boat up to Henry's Lake to go fishing. Blake caught the first two fish within just 30 minutes so he was ready to be done pretty early. They left the lake with just one more fish, which Terry had caught. Later that weekend we all went and fished off the bank of the lake. Ashlyn caught her first fish there but as we were trying to reel it in, her line broke. So she was pretty disappointed. While camping Terry and I took the kids hiking on a trail that we found. It was such a pretty hike. We stumbled upon a creek that was really pretty. Blake led the way and everytime we asked him if he wanted to turn around and head back, he kept wanting to go further, so we just kept following. Unfortunately, just as we decided it was time to head back, it started to rain, and we were quite a ways away from camp. It really started coming down hard. We actually had to stop and take shelter under a tree. When we decided it was starting to let up, we made a run for it. Terry had to carry Ashlyn the whole way. Luckily I had a t-shirt on with a button up long sleeve over it, so I was able to take that off and let Ashlyn wear it (the rain was pretty cold). But we all made it back in one piece. (Getting caught in the rain was actually the highlight of my trip. Being from Louisiana, it rained alot growing up, and we played in the rain ALOT. So being stuck out in the rain, being forced to play in it was really fun for me!) We had a really great time and are looking forward to our next camping trip.
Four Wheeling!
Hanging by the campfire
Showing us how strong he is.
Also showing us her muscles. They LOVED putting wood on the fire. Right before they would throw something on they would say, "This is how I rock!" Whatever that is supposed to mean!

Sick Guy

My poor little guy is sick today! Where is Terry when I need him? Oh yeah, he is down in Florida fishing! I am the worse mom when it comes to sick kids. I have a really weak stomach if I have to watch or hear someone throw up. And yes that includes my kids. The pregnancy has me on the verge of throwing up all the time, so watching Blake throw up all morning has not been so good for me. Poor thing has already thrown up 3 times in 2 hours (scratch that, we just had number 4). And he is obviously in alot of pain. Sorry ya'll probably didn't want to know all of that!! I just hope he gets better soon!

Mark Your Calendars!

For those of you who haven't heard yet.... our family has some exciting news. We are going to have another baby! Yay! We are very excited. The little one is expected to arrive on December 11th. I was a bit freaked out when I found out I was pregnant, not because we weren't trying, but because I knew I would be due in December. And when I did my own calculations I was pretty sure it would be due extremely close to Christmas. Thankfully the doctor told me I would actually be due on the 11th. So yes it is a December baby but thankfully not a Christmas baby! Whew! The kids are really excited. Ashlyn LOVES babies so I know she is going to be a great big sister! When Ashlyn was born Blake didn't seem to pay her any attention, but now that he is older I bet he will be more attentive to the new baby.
Most of you haven't seem much of me lately and the pregnancy is my excuse. I have been feeling pretty darn sick. So the kids and I have stayed home and inside alot. So sorry! I haven't forgot about all of you and I have not disappeared!
And.. to add to our families exciting news.. my sister Jenna just found out a few days ago that she has been chosen by a birth mother to adopt her baby!! Yay! We are so excited for her and her family. Her first daughter Baylee was adopted 2 months before Ashlyn was born, and they have been on the adoption list for a while waiting to be blessed with another angel to adopt, and their prayers have finally been answered. And get this, the baby is due tomorrow! They have only had less than a week to get ready for their new addition. But we are so excited and can't wait to meet their new little girl. Once again we will get to have new babies right around the same time!

Below are some new pictures of the kids that I have been meaning to post...
Blake swinging very high. Out of nowhere while he was swinging, with no warning,he decided to jump out of the swing. I about had a heart attack. I had to warn him not to jump if he is swinging too high.

Ashlyn loves to swing.
