Grandpa Peterson died last Friday, January 16, 2009. He had gotten sick about a week earlier. Luckily when he got sick, Terry, the kids, and I were able to go see him one last time. Terry was really close to him, so it was extra hard for him to say goodbye.We were really sad to lose him, but we know he is in a better place and is now happy and comfortable there with his wife. The kids really enjoyed the times they got to spend with him. He always had a piece of candy or a dollar for them. Ashlyn especially seemed to like him. She loved giving him hugs and kisses. Even at the funeral when they were closing the casket I had to hold her back because she wanted to go talk to Grandpa Peterson. We will miss him but are all happy we had the chance to know him.
That's a really nice post. I'm sorry you guys had to go through that, I know that was probably hard. I have been there before and Che had a hard time so it was hard for me to see him like that. He is definitely in a better place though and I'm sure is so happy. Love you guys
