Kid's pictures sample

Last week I got the kids pictures taken. I haven't gotten the pictures yet, but this sample was on the photographers blog so I thought I would steal it so we could get a sneak peek. I think its pretty cute, though I hope we can find some where they are all looking at the camera. We also had a really hard time getting Ashlyn to smile the way she normally does. Her smiles were looking pretty fake at this photo shoot. So fingers crossed we get some good shots!

Father's Day 2010

This year for Father's Day, all that Terry wanted was a fishing net. (Boring, I know). So rather than me go try to pick the "right one" out, Terry just went and bought it himself. (Again, boring!) So I wanted him to have some kind of suprise to open, but that didn't cost much money. So I went out and bought a picture frame that holds 3 different pictures. Then I took some pictures of the kids and "spruced" them up a bit, and put them in the frame. Here are the pictures, you can totally see each of their personalities in them...

So if you can't tell, the letters the kids are holding up spell out Dad. I think they turned out pretty cute.

These kids sure do love their Dad (more than mom if you ask me!) They have such a good dad who makes sure to spend a little time with them each day, whether it is playing Wii or Wrestle Mania. We are lucky to have him and we love him so much!

Happy Father's Day Terry!!

Blake is sure gonna miss this guy...

One of Blake's best buds is leaving!
At the beginning of Kindergarten, I asked Blake who was in his class. He could only tell me one person's name, and that was his friend Dallin whom he knew before school. So I challenged him to make a new friend at school the next day, and to come home and tell me his or her name. So the next day when he got off the bus the first thing I asked was if he made a new friend, and he said yes! Yay! His new friends name was Seth. I was so proud of him. Come to find out this new friend ended up being one of his best friends. Everyday all I heard about was what he, Seth, and Dallin had done that day. Well... there's a sad end to this story, Seth moved to Utah this summer. Bummer! Blake is sure gonna miss him. We had Seth come over to play the last day that he was in town so that we could say bye. Here are some pictures I took of their last hang out. (hopefully there will be more if they come to visit!)...
When I said picture time they knew exactly where they wanted to take them. Right on top of the monkey bars!
Isn't this a great picture? I love it!

Cheese balls.
They of course had to get some "Wii time" in.

Here is Ashlyn with Seth's cute little sister Sydney. They took dance class together. They didn't get to know eachother as well as Blake and Seth, but I know Ashlyn will be sad not to have her around anymore.

Later, Dallin came over to join in on the fun. Here are the tough guys. Or as they call themselves, "The Buddy Club"

Cute girls.
Hailey and Ellie came over to play too.

Do my eyes decieve me?? The boys are actually playing nice with the girls? This is a one in a lifetime moment, it didn't last for long!

Well, I'm glad Blake and Ashlyn were able to make such sweet little friends. Its too bad they have to leave. Hopefully when they are finished in Utah they can move back here. We will miss you.

Ashlyn's 4th Birthday

Once upon a time there was a princess named Ashlyn. Her 4th birthday was coming up and she wanted to have an extra special party. Being the princess that she is, she wanted it to be extra girly with NO BOYS ALLOWED. So her mother came up with the perfect plan. "Why not have a girls only Dress-up Tea party" she suggested. Ashlyn loved this idea and was so excited. So she took some special V.I.P. invitations around to all of the other pricesses in town. She asked them to come over to her palace at 10:30 on the day of her birthday, May 25th, and to come dressed in their most fashionable tea party attire... The table was set...
The treats were prepared... And the other princesses started to arrive. Once they all arrived it was time for tea...

Ashlyn carefully poured the delicious drinks...

It took no time at all for the silly conversations to begin...

They all enjoyed some tea (pink lemonade) and cookies and had many laughs. Afterwards they made some beautiful necklaces, each handmade by the individual princesses themselves.

The sun was shining so they couldn't go without a little fun on the swingset...

Once back inside, they played a pin the crown on the princess game (which was obvious that each and everyone of them cheated cause they all put it on perfect, but they loved it nonetheless.)

Once it was time to go, each princess got to bring home their very own teacup filled with chocolates and a diamond ring!

I'd like to thank all of the princesses and mothers of the princesses for coming and making this a very memorable birthday for Ashlyn. She loved having you all here and loved all of the gifts. They were all such sweet girls and looked so cute dressing up for the party. So thanks to Hailey, Ellie, Addie, Sydney, and Emma!

And though I didn't get any pictures, we also had a party at Leo's Place later that night so that all of our boys could come as well. So thanks to all of her "boyfriends". Sorry you weren't invited to the tea party. (I'm sure you would have all looked good in a princess gown!) We have some really awesome friends and were glad you all took the time to celebrate our sweet Ashlyn's birthday with us. Thanks!

Here is Ashlyn's cute birthday cake.

Happy 4th Birthday Ashlyn! Love you!
